Welcome to CareerSide! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CareerSide's services, website, and applications (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service
CareerSide is an AI-powered job search platform that:
- Aggregates job listings from multiple public sources
- Analyzes your CV/resume to find matching opportunities
- Provides job recommendations and application tracking
- Offers CV optimization and interview preparation assistance
- Sends automated job alerts based on your preferences
Beta Status: CareerSide is currently in beta testing. Features may change, and the service may experience interruptions or bugs.
3. Account Registration
3.1 Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You must not create multiple accounts
- You must keep your password secure and confidential
3.2 Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- You must not share your account credentials
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
4. Acceptable Use Policy
4.1 You May:
- Use the Service for personal job searching
- Upload your own CV/resume
- Save and track job applications
- Export your data for personal use
4.2 You May NOT:
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access our Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Resell or redistribute our Service without permission
- Use the Service to spam or harass others
5. Credits and Payment
5.1 Credit-Based System
CareerSide operates on a pay-as-you-go credit system. Credits are used to access premium features:
- Job Searches: Each automated job search query consumes credits
- AI CV Analysis: Each AI-powered CV analysis and matching consumes credits
- Vacancy Matching: Each AI-powered vacancy match and recommendation consumes credits
- Application Tracking: Basic tracking is included; advanced features may consume credits
The exact number of credits consumed per action is displayed in the application before you use a feature.
5.2 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.
- We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods supported by Stripe
- CareerSide does not store your payment card details - all payment information is handled by Stripe
- Prices are clearly displayed before purchase
- All transactions are in USD (or other supported currencies as displayed)
- By purchasing credits, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method
Stripe's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service also apply to payment processing.
5.3 No Subscriptions
CareerSide does not use recurring subscriptions. You purchase credits once and use them at your own pace.
- No monthly or annual recurring charges
- Credits do not expire
- You control when and how you use your credits
- Purchase additional credits only when you need them
5.4 Credit Packages
We offer various credit packages at different price points. Current packages include:
- Starter Package: Small credit bundle for trying out the service
- Professional Package: Medium credit bundle with best value
- Premium Package: Large credit bundle for active job seekers
- Custom Packages: Available for teams and agencies (contact sales)
We reserve the right to change package offerings and prices with reasonable notice. Price changes do not affect credits already purchased.
5.5 Credit Deduction
Credits are automatically deducted from your balance when you use features that require credits:
- You will see your current credit balance in your account dashboard
- Before using a feature, you'll see how many credits it will consume
- If you have insufficient credits, you'll be prompted to purchase more
- All credit usage is logged and visible in your account history
- Credits are deducted immediately upon feature usage
5.6 Refund Policy
We offer refunds for unused credits within 30 days of purchase:
- Full refund: If no credits have been used from a package, you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase
- Partial refund: If you've used some credits, you can request a refund for unused credits within 30 days of purchase (prorated based on usage)
- Refund processing: Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method

- Used credits are non-refundable
- After 30 days from purchase, all sales are final
Note: Refunds may be denied in cases of suspected abuse or violation of these Terms.
5.7 Taxes
Prices displayed may not include applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, etc.). Taxes will be calculated and added at checkout based on your location.
5.8 Free Beta Testing
During our beta testing period, new users may receive complimentary credits to try the service. Beta credits are subject to the same terms as purchased credits but are not eligible for refund.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
The Service, including all software, algorithms, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Iotonic GbR and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of your CV, job queries, and other content you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Process your CV to provide job recommendations
- Store and display your content within the Service
- Use anonymized data to improve our algorithms
This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.
6.3 Job Listings
Job listings are aggregated from public sources. We do not claim ownership. Job postings are property of the respective employers.
7. Third-Party Services and Content
- Job Platforms: We aggregate data from LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, and others. We are not responsible for their content or accuracy.
- External Links: Job application links direct you to external employer websites. We are not responsible for their hiring processes.
- AI Processing: We use OpenAI's API for CV analysis. Their terms and privacy policy also apply to that processing.
- Google OAuth: If you sign up with Google, Google's terms apply to that authentication.
8. Disclaimers and Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
- We do not guarantee job placements or interview invitations
- We do not verify the accuracy of job listings or employer information
- AI analysis and recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees
- The Service may contain bugs, errors, or inaccuracies (beta status)
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Job listings may be outdated or no longer available
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Iotonic GbR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months (currently €0 during beta)
- We are not liable for job search outcomes, hiring decisions, or employment matters
- We are not liable for data loss, though we make reasonable efforts to prevent it
- We are not liable for actions of third-party employers or job platforms
Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on warranties or liability. In such cases, these limitations may not apply to you.
10. Data Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

- We comply with GDPR and EU privacy laws
- You control your consent preferences
- You can request data deletion at any time
- We use Google Analytics only with your consent
11. Termination
11.1 By You
You may close your account at any time via Account Settings. Your data will be deleted within 30 days, except as required by law.
11.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Your account is inactive for more than 12 months
- Required by law or regulatory authority
We will provide reasonable notice before termination, except in cases of serious violations.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective:
- Immediately upon posting for non-material changes
- 30 days after notice for material changes
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and close your account.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mainz, Germany.
EU Consumers: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
